Hi, I own a 1987 Mini City E 1000, but I'm looking to give it a bit of exterior make-over, in the syle of the red Mini from the Italian job.

One of the things I've encountered difficulty on is the spotlights and their mounting. In the film, there are 3 spotlights, with one higher up. I was wondering if you could get metal brackets for the relevant mounting, or if it is able to mount the spotlights to the grille.

Another thing is the leather bonnet strap. This isn't like the small one at the front, it runs down the length of the bonnet, like the bonnet stripes of the cooper, and has a buckle about half way down. I was wondering where these could be bought, or how they could be made

This picture may give some clarification into what I mean:

Any help would be appreciated, cheers!

The spot lights where mounted on a shaped bracket that ran from bumper left to right and formed a "wriggley" loop :)

Is it possible to buy these, or do they have to be made?

I've got a great pair of full length bonnet straps.£23 delivered (pay via paypal?).
I've just taken them off my own mini. They are cut from high quality hide, hand stitched and treated for water resistance.(they are as new).
I initially wanted the italian job look and bought some from ocoop but they didn't fit and had stupidly large eyelet holes so bought an expensive piece of hide and made my own.
I have now changed my mind about the look of my mini.
I've also got about 7 red pairs if anyones interested?

Lmao, I might do, haha.

At this rate i might as well get a belt, cut it in half at the back and stick that on there somehow.

They look very nice, Andy.

I'd be interested in buying things, i just need to confirm getting the Italian Job style spotlight bar, then hopefully I might see about buying them.

Cheers for the response,
Kyle
