I've heard about this blue lagoon place off a few of my mates. The pictures i'd seen of it looked too good to be true, so decided to take a trip down there.
Its in buxton, off the cat and fiddle and you park in a layby near the go kart track.
Its in a disused part of a quarry, you have to walk through some fields and stuff for about a half a mile but its amazing!
Its a huge lake, it must be really deep and the limestone has turned it an amazing deep blue colour.
I think its turned into abit of a local tourist attraction, there was a bit of rubbish left there and a few lilos and dingies floating around plus the off disposable BBQ. I was speaking to a local women who was walking her dog round it and she said there was 200 people there last week during the nice weather!
Heres a few pics, you can see the scale of it from my two mates in one of the pics:
So anybody else been?
I'm not sure if i'd swim in it or not, but this women said people were coming down in bikinis and jumping off the rocks and stuff!!
Just thought i'd share this...
