Right, full weekend working on the little bits! Hopefully this little circuit will solve the problems ive been having with my tacho, optocoupler circuit.

Then set to work on the engine bay, first of all attacked the cambelt cover, had to modify it a little bit to clear the subframe but all in now. Also keyed and painted a new rocker cover, and took the horrific yellowness of the oil cap

Getting these tested and new seals put in this week, better spray pattern... and closer to the base map i have!

Update time, got these injectors back after cleaning and testing. All balanced with each other perfectly. So spent today putting them in.

Then it refused to run properly, realized it was a bad plug, lots of cold starts running very very rich ruined it. So bought a new set and put them in... win! started poifectly.

The went for a spin! Had a bit of a worry, it was using alot of water once i got back from the drive, then realized it was just filling the rad properly once the thermostat opening. Filled it back up with water and went for another drive.

Pulls well, maps still a bit out but alright for running in. up to 4000 at half throttle it pulls like a train, nice to have some serious power back after the 8v period. And also nice to get back behind the wheel of a mini, nout else compares :thumbsup: lol.

Great project mate, this mini's had so many different engines this one is of my favorites though, should make a nice bit of power and still be a good daily, good luck with it, looking out for the next update.

Cheers mate, think itll be my favorite all round setup, if not ill have to dump my next engine idea in >_< LOL

Should be properly on the road soon, map seems alright, making det cans at the weekend so i can hear detonation better if it occurs (bit of tube attached to ear defenders), need a new battery because my lovely big one has failed. And also still a bit concerned about the lowness of the oil pressure, temped to shove a new pump on it, but it might just be the accuracy of a TIMs gauge (very likely)

only times ive driven this 16ver so far all ive been thinking about is AFR and det! seems to drive well though. Cant compare the two yet until the 16vers run in, should be similar power but a bit more torque from this one compared to the R1. Dont no, 4 x 45mm throttle bodies sound great, but so does a 998 R1 engine at 12000rpm
