So 0-60 in just over 3 seconds?

No I would say for a very well tuned 172 stroked to a 183 would be about low 5s real speed to 60 and in the 4second mark on the clock for a twin engined runner 0 - 60 would not be relevant you would be unable to get the power down to about 30mph really at the lowest would just wheelie they would do 100mph in about 9 seconds though a very nice nice road legal 172 should be around the 14 second mark for the quarter mile the record for a 172 is 11.7 seconds at approx 120mph but that was not road legal lol but was done on a windy day with not exactly the best weather conditions so it could go faster still.

Yeah for a 50cc the aerox are pretty nippy I used to have a 2007 piaggio nrg power dd liquid cooled used to do 55 on the flat once has 64 out of it down a hill was de-restricted with race clutch and zx pipe that was it if you 70'd them they were quicker than my standard 125 anyday which was pretty impressive.

Oh whats wrong with it then?
checked the obvious things like plug if you getting a spark etc...? scooters are pretty simple machines cant be nothing majorly wrong unless you have blown your engine or something.

Power delivery can be random at times, slow from start, then fast upto 35/40 then slow building up past 50.

Auto choke maybe?

Possibly worth looking into could be something more simple like the set up of your rollers and clutch springs espeicaly if you fitted a race pipe or is has one fitted as they need to be set up correctly to get the best out of them or can lag really bad of the start and if your rollers are two light will loose top speed. From what you said would fit some firmer clutch springs which should help the pull away as weull get you into the powerband and play around with the rollers until you get nice smooth acceleration. With regards to being slow once past 50 that is just normal it is a 50cc ped it is not going to pull fast at all once they are up to those sort of speeds.

Cheers, to be honest its simlar information i've heard before. Thing is it did work ok, smooth accel all the way past 55, now it does that and its really slow from 40+

To be honest the R6 looks like its already pulling ahead after about 3 seconds, and after about 5 he's gone! :shifty: .

Its always that way with light, small engined vehicles.

My mini will beat my dads 350ML off the line, but after he's reached just above 40 the power overthrows the weight and i can't touch him for dust!

Still, fair play...its a bit mental!

One thing i've always wondered...does the noise get incredibly annoying after about 20 seconds??

On my old 50cc yes but only until i repacked the race exhaust then it went quiet again you need to repack the end can every couple of months or it gets very loud and to be honest 99% of owners forget to do this which is why they same so bad. On my new one being a standard 125 it is very very quiet can cruise at 65mph and dont even here the engine at all just some wind noise much prefer it to my 50 before as has enough power to overtake things safely and means I no longer get stuck behind lorrys on a roads. The reason the majority of the peds on the road seem long is because people dont look after them and repack the exhaust also as standard they are very very quiet the exhaust you fit are for the majority for race use only hence why the same pretty loud. And yes with regards to the drag race yes he was pulling away but to be honest they was nothing special about that runner can get ones a dam sight faster than that one and the twin engined ones that go around are in a different league.

Running 300w 12v 2 amp amplifier powering two autobahn speakers with just a wire to the battery with a 2.5 amp inline fuse to stop any damage is pretty simple setup lol :)
