Here is a brief summary of the aprilia sr125 scooter I brought and the various mods i did to it to improve it
When I brought it:-

Then added some led rear lights and some checkerplate footplates and chopped down the rear mudguard:-

Then some blue neons were added:-

Then I did a boot instal with a amp underneath the board and two audiobahn speakers is about 300w and makes a pretty decent sound:)
Posted Image
Since this have covered the board in yellow leather/vinyl to make it look better
Finally I added some new yellow and black grips and a clear lens kit:-

Further plans are to get some angel eyes for the front and then get a ported 172kit, 25mm carb and a gearup should see me to about 95mph ;)

Yeah well 95 is only clock speed probably more like 80 real speed to be honest I do know someone with a gilera runner with a 172 kit ported and stroked to a 183 and has been clocked by his dad on his gsxr at 108mph does 0 - 60 in about 6 seconds if you can keep the front wheel down which is near enough impossible lol kicks out about 30bhp which may not sound amazing but weighs only 120kg so approx 250bhp per tonne which is pretty impressive can keep up easily with hot hatches up to about 80mph and completely murders them of the start. Saying that the ped on total has cost him over 3k now and still has a few more bits to get when finished with his new Malossi forks and back suspension will owe him approx 4k! Mine at the moment does about 75 on the clock approx 65 genuine. Stupidly fast runner is pictured below.

Nice runner doubt does 0-60 in 4 seconds lol the highly tuned ones are all about the midrange anyway lol with the 183s can never get a decent start to be honest the front wheel just goes around in the air pull the throttle at 30/40mph still power wheelies lol would say on the clock to 60 if lean right over the front may be high 4 seconds clock speed but for real speed probs more like high 5's that is still rapid for a ped remember the 1000cc bikes are only doing it in the high 3s low 4s. To be honest a very very well set up and highly tuned 183 runner can keep up with a 600 up to about 70mph they are stupidly fast. They are even twin engines one going around running about 55/60bhp doing a genuine 130mph on a ped! Hitting 100 genuine in about 8.5 seconds they redefine rapid. Example shown bellow

Keep up with a 600 upto 70?

I highly doubt that.

Why not it is a twin engined runner with stroked cranks so 356cc approx 55/60bhp and weights about 150kg with the extra engine so you talking approx 350 - 400bhp per tonne to me it seems pretty believable lol with the 183s a modern 600 would be faster but with one a few years they would have to be pretty aggressive with the clutch etc... to pull away a decent distance at lower speeds. They was good drag race is a 27bhp runner vs a gsxr 600 and the 600 only just won but I cant seem to find it at the moment lol.

Similar idea 27bhp vs a r6

Now imagine a runner with twice the power and still say it would not keep up with a 600 lol:)

Now this ped is now my favourite stock on the market gilera gp800 with 75bhp weights a lot more than a twin engined runner so in terms of performance despite them having 15bhp probably pretty similar in terms of performance if anything the runner would be faster but jesus just look at the acceleration lol!
