Another Door Card update, the last of our designs:

Posted Image
(Click on the image above to be re-directed to the website)

Our 'Premium' Door Card ranges are designed for those seeking something completely different to anything else currently available. Two designs are available, both designed by, and unique to Optimise Automotive.

The first 'Premium' is specifically designed to compliment the layout and feel of a MK3 (Onwards) Mini interior. The curved 'featured' area of the design incorporates the layout of the door furniture resulting in a 'designer' appearance. This, combined with the vertical lines of stitching creates a feel of refinement that is often reserved for prestigious modern super cars such as the Pigoni Zonda or Aston Martins DBS.

Finally, because you can choose a two tone colour combination, it does not mean that you have to. One tone Premium Door Cards can look just as effective as two tone combinations - especially in dark and natural colours.

The second 'Premium' is specifically designed to compliment the layout and feel of a pre MK3 (Onwards) Mini interior. Designed with a retro-classic theme in mind, the design follows the lines of the early doors. This, combined with the vertical stitching creates a feel of refinement that was previously reserved for prestigious classic cars such as the Jaguar E Type and Aston Martin DB5.

Finally, because you can choose a two tone colour combination, it does not mean that you have to. One tone Premium Door Cards can look just as effective as two tone combinations - especially in dark and natural colours.

from £99.99 (4 piece kit - front & rear Door Cards)
or
from £69.99 (2 piece kit - front Door Cards only)

Available for all MK's and variants of the Classic Mini:

MK1/MK2/MK3 (Onwards) Saloons & Clubman's (1959 to 2000)
Mini Van’s (1960 to 1982)
Mini Pick-up’s (1961 to 1982)

Thanks Again

Cheers Ipod - always nice to receive some positive feedback. The photos you sent are now in the Photo Gallery: LINK

I have to say - they look cracking with the walnut door furniture, it really makes the beige pop.

Thanks

Hi Roberts,

I'm interested in purchasing a Sub Original Boot Kit. However, would you be able to make a kit whereby the Sub Section of the kit could be easily removed so that it looks like the Boot Kit Original system? I.E. For instance if you need to go away and need the extra boot room but still have a solid Boot kit.

Kind Regards, Rhys.

Yes it certainly is possible - and we have done a few in the past.

Basically the Sub Original kit is an Original kit, with a few modifications to house the subwoofer:

The first difference is that the right hand side panel is uncovered and chopped down in width by 1cm - this panel is hidden behind the sub box, but is used used to trap the sub box cover (the flexible board - like the petrol tank cover on the other side) in place, which in return holds it's shape.

So carpeting this board (and also under the sub box on the bottom board) is no issue at all - it simply just needs more carpet, so a slight additional cost is involved in that.

Secondly, a section of the front piece (the piece that runs along the front of the bottom board - used to hide the spare wheel) is removed from Sub Original kits. This allows for the sub box cover to sit flush in line with this front piece. Obviously you don't want an open gap looking through at your battery when you have the kit as the Original, so, we will install an additional front piece in place. The piece will be set back from the normal front piece to allow the sub box cover to sit flush.

However, the one downfall that is, when the Boot Lining Kit is being used as an Original there will be a dip in the front piece, where the offset piece is (I hope that make sense at all).

Anyway - custom/bespoke is about to be re-launched again (fingers crossed it will all be back on the website within the next two weeks). But forget about it not being on there just now, more than happy to do this in advance. We are now ready to start taking on custom work again - it's now simply a case of getting it on the site.

As for prices a standard carpet Sub Original is £69.99 (+P&P) with the modification and extra material needed I'd say you would be looking at an additional £15 ish depending on your covering options.

So, drop me a PM or email (or give me more detail of what you want here) and we can take it from there.

Thanks
Andy @ Optimise Automotive

Hey Greg,

The hole is cut out of the hardbaord is it not? The other set of trial laser cut panels we fitted had the holes cut, so I'm 100% sure the wood will be cut.

So all you need to do is make a hole in the vinyl?

Simply cut a cross where the hole is in the vinyl, if your not comfortable doing it we can do it for you when your over hear getting the other bits 'n' bobs fitted. But it should be pretty simple to do.

All door open handle holes are now cut and stapled before they go out (like the other 2 holes - the window winder and door latch). Obviously with your Door Cards being one of the two trial Door Card set's, they were exactly that, a trial set. And after the trial's we decided to cut and staple all 3 holes - the window winder, door latch and door open handle.

Thanks
Andy @ Optimise Automotive

EDIT: that sentence made no sense...

And whilst I am here, a quick update for you all (as it's been a while):

We are now almost moved into the new premises (we should be 100% up and running in the new unit within the next 2/3 weeks now) and once settled we will be offering all TMF members a few special offers:

Free fitting (for one month only)
Once up and running in the new premises we will be offering fitting services for all of our products and for the first month in the new premises we will be offering this service for free.

Free bespoke work (for one month only)
Ok so it's not going to quite be 'free', as you will still have to buy the product, but the bespoke bit will be free, as we will be offering all bespoke work for the cost of the standard products (providing you want standard coverings), once again for the first month in the new premises.

Finally Once up and running in the new workshop we will also be launching our 'Dispatch Guarantee' scheme - which will basically be a refund of 10% if we fail to dispatch your order on the given date (dispatch dates are updated weekly on the website here: LINK).

Anyway as you can imagine we have lots going on right now and I will let you all know in more detail about the new fitting services, special offers and perhaps most importantly, where the new premises is, once we are ready to open the doors to you at the beautiful new Optimise HQ some time in July.

For now, there is a small teaser of things to come over the next few months

Thanks

Hey Tommy,

Not yet - so yes, it's simply what's available on the shop. Were building up to full interiors - only carpet sets and seat upholstery to go now (to offer a full interior solution - it will then be onto Dashboards & Centre Consoles).

However, right now we are unexpectedly busy and flat out with orders of the current products - which leaves very little time for product development.

Fingers crossed though - carpet sets will be available before Christmas and seat upholstery will follow in the first half of 2011.

Thanks
Andy @ Optimise Automotive
