That is a mk1 Morris Cooper grille (wider slats than the austin cooper).
The reason it might look "different" is because it's missing the moustache surround

Standard Mk1 grille by the looks of it, and it will likely screw into the front panel from the outside, between the slats.

P.S you coming to le monthly meet tonight? :turtle:

techno-steve,

I think you have spelt your location wrong mate. Is it not 'wakefield' rather then 'wakefeild' :turtle:

Thats a nice looking car. I always loved the MK1 grill look, finally got one when i own a clubman so its now for sale on ebay.

Are the older grilles easy enough to fit on a later model car?

Yeah not too bad. You need a MK1 style bonnet or remove the lip from your current one.

I once bought a MK1 style bonnet with MK3 onward hinge fixings from PL Minis for about £35 brand new. Replaced my rusty one and upgrade at the same time.

The moustache and grill just screw or rivet on then. I prefer to rivit the moustache and fit the grill using grill buttons for quick access.

Ive got a MK1 wavy grill and moustache ending on ebay in the next few hours. Very close to meeting its reserve if anyone is interested....
