Earthpoints not a really big problem make sure the contact is secure and clean! thats the biggest issue!

well i spent 17 quid on the wire, fuses, fuse holder, ring terminals, spade connectors

still gota buy the heat shrink

buying the ring terminals will either come as a pair or in a box of a fair few
and depending on what fuse holder you are able to buy you may need spade connectors to be able to put the fuse holder in between the wires

yh, sounds like the best part of £20 lol.

not bad at all for a cigerette lighter. well i dunno if i will be able to get the parts 2moro because i cnt get a lift so if you do do this 2moro PM me bout how you get on and take sum pictures of the solenoid connection or summit lol. create a better guide then the minifinity one lol.

actually i think i probably could. ill have to take a strol down to my local bus stop and see if it can take me there. really wana do this now lol. i probably wont ever use it but its guna be a learning curve. something i need to do because i really wana get into proper mini restorations and i just lack knowledge and experience.

or i cud beg my GF's mum to give me a lift up there. that would be sweet lol.

haha begging is always the way lol

im very tempted to fit mine now although mine will be used for charging satnav/phone and runnin my cb radio
so its worthwhile for me to have one in my car.

it will come in handy at some point

ive just had a thought. if i connect up the 27 amp wire and put a spade splitter could i run one lead of to run the cigerette lighter and the other one to power my CD radio with?

there like walkie talkies only can operate over a longer distance, lorry drivers have them.

urmm i can't help you there, is your radio not wired up then?

my poor crimping skills but 8mm ring terminals fit perfectly on to the bolt that the main feed is connected to
