Thanks for your kind comments. Technically, yes it's Zoe's to use whenever she wants. Problem is, she gave up the driving lessons a while back and I can't say i've been too encouraging in getting her to start again

I'll reply just to get the ball rolling and Steve will expand no doubt. But basically Steve the vast majority of his electrical accessories for the wiring from a company call Cable Ties Direct, you ask for a brochure of there's and they'll ship one out for you. Very good service indeed as Steve pointed me in their direction also. How are you doing all your electrical connections and such? I'm doing a 998cc auto to 1275cc manual conversion to my mini soon and the loom is terrible and needs sorting. Where do you get that braided cover from and your connectors? How do you shrink wrap the rubber ends?

Wow, a good few months since I've posted anything on this.
Mini is still running great, although the paint is not faring too well having been sat outside for a couple of years, so that is a job for the better weather.
Engine build is now under way so look out for some updates coming along very soon
Regards
Steve

Hi everyone
I promised some updates and after a trip to Himley on Sunday (couldn't make the stand as I had to be home but I did stop by and say hello)
Picked up my rebuild kit from Guessworks and bought a few other bits as well. Didn't get too long to look at the cars as the rain came along.
A while back I dismantled the gearbox & diff and took it to my pals where he has a shot blaster. He's also got a recent powder coat set up as well but more of that at a later date.
Some "befores"
And a few "afters"
Started with the cross pin diff rebuild. Very straightforward after I figured out how to get the first pin out. Unless it was me, (or my unit) there was no way it was coming out according to the instructions.
Old diff - Well past its best
Shiny new bits
First stage
With crown wheel. I had to use the old mica washer as it was too tight with the new. I also need some new lock tabs.
Cheap stainless frying pan is a great parts wash tray
That's all I have for now but will update soon
Thanks for dropping by
Regards
Steve
