Hi Boys & Girls, time for the update that I didn't get do yesterday.
Thanks for the comments Jack
So, the morning after and back to the workshop. Paint had gone off fine overnight as it was still quite warm.
Gave the main panels a gentle wet flatting back with some 800's to get rid of some slight bits that were in the paint. (Guess who forgot to buy some filters? I improvised but trust me, you really don't want to know)!

Note the high tech stand for the doors etc?

Once all that was dried off, panel wiped and tacked again it was on with the final coats.

And after drying off, time to remove the masking!

Was I smiling?........................................ You bet I was!!!
Now then. How do you get a mini, without wheels back on the trailer?
How do you get a freshly painted mini, without wheels back on the trailer without damaging it?
You need one of these.....................

Well, 2 actually.......................................

All safely strapped on & tied down

There was a couple of lads in a blue W reg (think) mini in Hyde did a double take when they saw it go by. Is it anyone from here?
How we got it off at the other end?
I didn't get chance to take a picture but it involved the spit, 4 mini wheels, 2 wheelie bins a decking joist and 2 house bricks........... Don't ask.
I now need to wait until the paint has hardened fully before cutting back & polishing, but it's back and ready to start putting parts back on.
Even the Cookster seemed impressed, sort of.

Now......................................... Where does this bit go?
Thanks for looking, more soon
Regards
Steve
