well again my luck change :). i put the door on with the slightly moved skin all lines up better but as i have moved it the gap from near the door handle to the car was too big so of i went and removed the whole skin of the door. nove least it will be done properly. and should be getting it all sorted this saturday hopefully.

also today went round and did bit more fillering just light skims to get rid of the pin holes.

will update again when the door is all sorted

This is looking great! Pity about all the bodges you have had to contend with. i am going through the same with mine. Check your door skin was a gen one as non gen do not fit at all! Cavity wax CAVITY WAX AND MORE CAVITY WAX! Stonechip wont really rust proof as such but will provide a chip resistant coating. cavity wax will protect bare metal and painted metal and stays sticky

hi,well this weekend got some of my welding done. got my new exhaust all welded and put back on and no blowing now. also got the skin welded back in the CORRECT position and found out that my a panel has been put on wrong so cut the welds and pulled it a little bit and now the line between the apanel and door is near enough spot on. juat needs rewelding. and my door needs a little weld ont he side of the door hadle to make the lines all ok and now thw dooe frame is sitting perfect too all the top gaps a correct at last so last bit of welding then soon ready for primer!
