Well ever the optimist I have just received an Email from the guy or works there (from this forum) who says they were expecting me this coming Saturday not last.

They are in business and busy (which is what I hoped the reason for the lack of communication was)

He indicated Simon knows all about my order and indicates it is ready (if they are expecting me this Saturday).

So I will update this forum Saturday afternoon when I get back from collecting my engine.

250 miles round trip and £30 in petrol.

Slight delay, Block will not be back until next Tuesday. it is my early A series block not an exchange A+.

Simon did telephone to apolgise for the delay and to save me another wasted journey.

Should all be OK and ready to collect on the 8th now. Which is good as I am off work the following week and want to make big progress in getting the engine built and back in the car.

Took up an offer to work elsewhere for a while building race engines for national autograss, hotrods, etc. . . (mostly vauxhall xe, ford pinto, lotus twin cams, rover k-series and so on) But also working closely with a new up and coming mini company for whom it looks like i may get the contract to build their engines. So i may have to create a new account on here with a new user name, i dont want to be tarred with anyone elses brush.
