Not to be advised, spraying high pressure water around the engine bay is likely to FUBAR your electrics, the best way is good old elbow grease with cloth, brush etc.

Well this is what I use and the results were amazing. I bought some engine degreaser from Lidl about £1.49 a spray can. Sprayed it onto the engine and the oil and grease just fall away before my eyes. Gave it a wipe over where I could reach, sprayed it again and now it's sparkling. My sump was black but now it's shines.

Hope this helps a little  :P :D :D :D :D

Wet toothbrush works wonders :D Not the current one you use in the bathroom though :D Unless it's ready to be thrown away - best to buy a cheapy

Microfibre clothes are good too :P
