glad you like it! I'm just in the garage at the moment working out where to mount the CD player without it getting in the way too much of the looks of the interior.

Quick update - Just recieved confirmation that my RC40 Link pipe and Cooper Freeflow will soon be on their way to my hot little hands - as soon as they're on - it's pretty much time to see if the engine works <crosses fingers>

That particular engine, no  still waiting on you know who to come through. That's why i've rebuilt and pimped this little 998 - which is Pie's old engine.

Since then i've become infatuated with small bore motors! love them- nothing better!

ahhh got it from Stardude?
I almost had that engine!

Small-bore certainly easier and more statisfying to get decent gains, plus you can rev the tits of it, and it'll love every minute of it :D :D

Oh I miss having a Mini =(

I went for the stealthier approach to ICE in our GT - an board under the rear seat with two 160cm speakers and the head unit mounted in it. Works a treat with a remote control head unit.

Little update - nothing amazing though: Done the following just now:

* Sprayed bumpers and boot handle Satin black again (final coat)
* Marked up the Carb Elbow ready for gas flowing.

And also discovered to my delight that the sump plug is still the original, and torques up fine, however I have ditched the Copper washer set-up in favour of a Ford Mondeo Sump plug that has a bonded rubber insert.

Upsides of this are it will seal up better than a copper washer and require less torque to do so. Win win situation really.

I also wangled my magnetic pick up on a stick around in the gearbox a bit - Hardly any swarf in there which i trust is a good omen for when this engine gets started :)
