It's a far cry from what it used to be. I'm very pleased.
Time to hit minispares with an Order :cheesy:

**UPDATE** would you believe,…. this is still in my garage!
Well guys,… it's been a LONG time. Sadly,… it's not good news, though there is a silver lining.
The paint went on a treat,… infact it was so darn good i couldn't believe my luck, 2 days went by twiddling my thumbs until I decided to go an start rebuilding little Reggie. The paint was still a little soft, "strange", i thought, "the last lot of 2k i sprayed was solid in 24 hours without baking". left it a few more days,… could still get my thumb nail to drag on it,… left it another week, soft,… left it a year,.. still not solid. Faulty hardener batch.
Heartbroken and defeated,.. I closed the garage door,.. and slowly things piled up on little Reggie, other cars came and went, spares piled on top of him, dust settled, tyres deflated,… he sat, alone, and unbuilt, awaiting a day where he might roll out again under his own steam.
Two weeks ago,… i opened the garage door and looked at him,.. engineless, lightless… everything-less,… all he had was his STILL not completely hardened coat of paint, some areas removed with a stable blade revealing his smooth prime red shell underneath.
'I can do this'
'I'm going to finish this,…. and it starts today'
**cue smoke machine, lots of wet 'n'dry, and lots of tea and biscuits.**

Finally! Watched this thread years ago, did wonder what had become of it.
Glad to hear you've got the bug back.

I have done a small amount of work on it, and have taken the plunge on some much larger projects on it too such as building a new harness for it, a completely rebuilt engine etc.... So I have a definite end result in mind. Work has started, once I'm able to wheel it out the garage I'll update with photos.
Thanks for the welcome back!
