True, but if its not TOO much work, i'd rather change it. Still just thinking at options at mo.

( my father in law knows the lady selling it and can get it cheap. or she's actually got two others ( all convertible ) that may deserve a look )

The Mini is one of the simplest cars to convert especially of course the early Minis with the centre speedo dash! You will need a RH drive steering rack but most other parts just swap sides and the holes are already there for steering column, etc.. If you have a wooden dash this will also need to be replaced and the brake servo/ pedal linkage is different I think, again on early Minis both the brake and clutch master cylinders just swapped sides. The windscreen wipers are also easy to convert with grommets in the unused holes on the scuttle.

you will need new pedals, new steering rack, new clock housing as you can't convert it over (i've a rhd 3 pod if you want to swap as i need a 3 pod left hand :( ) And being as it's from left to right there will be no problem with the servo, all the work can b carried out in a weekend and i have done it before, oh and you'll need new headlights the master cylinders you just put on the other side replace the pipes with shorter ones, you'll need a clock in miles (got one aswell from an advantage) it's not really hard work the only pain is the steering rack but all the work can be done in a weekend if all the parts are there.

ps.

I've converted from RHD to LHD which is harder than from LHD to RHD

it's the shape of the pedals, and the throttle is bolted on the right and not screwed as on the left.

If you do change the steering to RHD and your Mini has a power brake booster, would you be interested in selling the LHD parts?

A LHD clutch pedal in a RHD car ends up being quite a long way under the heater.
