Here's my best timing slip..
The weight reduction is coming along nicely
Although didn't get many pictures:
Here's the fuel tank tray which is now pretty light!
It was solid throughout.
The seat mounts, dashboard, fuel tank straps, engine bay bracketry are all getting lightened!
Slicks are being ordered but dont know if they will arrive in time and I don't know if grip is really an issue as it wasn't experiencing any wheelspin.
Roll on the weekend ...

I arrived slightly late on Saturday after having a blow out on the trailer on the way over! I was hoping that this wasn't an indicator of what was in store for the weekend.
However got registered and started racing, launch control dialled in, but was suffering with wheelspin which was annoying!!
This continued to plague me all weekend and I had to adapt to it.
All the Saturday runs resulted in me trying to find a process which result in the best possible launches and best possible times but my ETs fluctuated greatly and I was off the pace for a personal best.
Sunday proved more consistent but was struggling with grip.
I found that launching, then a quick change into second made for better times rather than holding onto the gears for longer.
Times were graudually getting better and I really wanted to get into the 11s.
I took the headlight out to run to get the cold air into the filter that sat right behind the headlight, which seemed to work. However I was still getting night inlet temperature warnings when running.
Maybe I should get the nitrous inter poker spray and the water injection set up and installed....?
However towards the very end of the day the queues thinned out and I managed a few back to back runs with minimal wait.
These runs were my best and I managed to get into the 11s, not just once but twice!
Whoop whoop.
The best time being 11.89s
I found this by short shifting at about 6k every gear and making full use of the 2.4bar of boost to pull the car from the lower rev range.
I'll post pictures of the time sheets but I'm already thinking of slicks and a big turbo and an electronic boost controller!
Oh and maybe some sponsorship to help pay for it!

Also there was another chap in the queue who was running a turbo k series who I think came third on the day. Hats off to him as was running quick times despite having real issues with grip being front wheel drive.
If anyone knows of a build thread for him then let me know.
