Fiddly jobs are great but annoying, you never remember them all and what parts you need until after you click place order!

Got the clutch bled today.
But she didn't drive. :-(
I think the clutch arm needs adjusted.

Well I spend 13 hours on it today and still no further forward.

The clutch has a 0.7 master cylinder on the pedal box, with flexi -3 hose going to a land rover 2a slave cylinder. Which then actuates a threaded metal rod which pushes the original clutch arm. We have put a return spring on it but it seems after bleeding the system, the clutch has the normal amount of travel on it. After a couple of pushes the travel becomes less and less until there's about an 1" of movement before it comes solid.
If anyone has encountered the same please let me know how to resolve this. HELP!
I don't know if a seal in the master cylinder has popped and it's pressurising fluid and not letting it return... Sighs

Also the hydraulic handbrake needs replumbing.... The rear brake is still leaking .....
but on a positive note my friend and I have a working set of car ramps installed in our workshop and ready to use.

Does it go back to normal if you leave it? Not sure if it's the same but with hydraulic bike brakes if they have an air leak they can be pumped up with air and they go solid. But when left for a few minutes they go back to being really spongey.

Might be similar? Not sure. But good luck!

Cheers Cam, I'll check it to see if the clutch goes back to normal tomorrow, but it was still solid this morning but with all the phaffing it might be it.

Worth a try. When my brakes were like it on my bike I used to pump them up along the journey and as I needed to stop haha.

I honestly can't wait to see videos of this running!

Neither can I mate, I was thinking I would be able to drive it this weekend and apply a small amount of throttle. I would love to feel the boost come in.
I was trying to think of a comparable car but I can't think of any..... It's going to be an animal.

I'd imagine along the lines of a veyron...?

But having never been in one i wouldnt no.

Power to weight must be comparable though?

nice build mate, just read it all . great job

as for the pedal going hard, check the adjustment on the master cylinder rod, it sounds like the master cylinder piston is preloaded and not releasing pressure when the pedal is released.

cool car I love your vision, and I think it looks great just the way you have built it.

I managed to swap out the lines to the other master cylinder and all seems good, despite it just not engaging.
It must be millimetres off not engaging, as it just goes in with the engine off but when you start it the gears don't engage and just rocks the car slightly forward when trying to engage first.
So technically it has travelled now under its own steam! Lol
I think adjust the actuating rod and it will be there!
First proper video of the drive will be posted as soon as it happens.
