Mondeo discs don't fit as the back of the disc fouls the steering arm. I am disappointed, as I was wanting cheap big brakes.
I was waiting for a welder so I have got lots of brackets ready - remote reservoirs for the pedal box, ecu mount, handbrake mount, seatbelt anchors.....
Also I was started on cosmetics..

Doesn't she look nice?
Also note the use of 42 year old headlight rings!!

Albo, she already has a name, I confessed it's quite a peculiar name: LMCK pronounced lee-muck-cuck. Every car I have had has its name from the letters of the number plate!

Today has seen more progress,
Wiring tidied up and p-clipped
B27B5BEF-8915-4C06-9D1D-43F6595E79B6_zps

Fitted the central seat belt eyelets
Although getting to them meant removing practically the whole interior!
9FD55DD6-3BDB-46AA-9B67-9C6116F6A6F6_zps

Fitted the hydraulic handbrake:
I had to put it on the right hand side as on the left it would mean that once harnessed in i would t be able to operate it! (Design flaw fail!)
DDBC7721-A68A-43C9-AF27-00E86E7629AD_zps

Also mounted the remote reservoirs and connected them up
26B001A6-5250-49AF-85B9-DA9CC009D1E6_zps

Also mounted the ecu on the bulkhead so that it's out the way of passengers feet

So quite a few jobs done, the next big one is altering the diff alignment and getting a propshaft.
Also it's only a month to get it all sorted until it's going down the strip!

Looking great, are you planning on putting anything down in the foot wells?

No I haven't anything planned to go in the footwells, I wanted them clear as people's legs might knock against them.
It's surprising that despite running only basic items, it's getting quite cluttered and I'm struggling for space.

I mean on the floor, as in footplates or anything

Dom, yeah it is a shame but needs must, the paintwork is shocking anyway!
Moggy, there's no plans for footplates, just get it running and start driving it.

Not much physical progress has been made more 'administrative' work. Ive been researching propshafts and have placed an order for one. It should be turning up in about a week.
The front brakes have been sorted and are on order aswell. I'm going to be running standard 278mm cosworth disc with custom 4pot calipers and brackets.
I've also ordered brake line parts and should be here this week.
Fingers crossed I'll get it running, everything will fit first time and I'll get it taxed and mot'd and up Santa pod for the 10th August!

Agreed

What sorta time are you hoping for in the 1/4 mile? Is sub 10 seconds too much to hope for?

Looks absolutely awesome! Brilliant work everywhere on the car. I do like the wide stance, shame over here we can't have it archless.

Quick question, how come you had a custom rear beam cradle / mount made, could you not of used the Sierra standard one?

Trac, I would love a 10 second quarter mile let alone a sub 10 second quarter. Although a quick google it suggests I would get a 11.5s quarter.

Will, I could have used a standard sierra rear beam but they aren't adjustable and they tend to suffer from mis-alignment under load. Oh and they weighed a tonne!
Although you mentioning this has reminded me I need a rear diff mount! Oops - this deadline is getting tight!
