I suppose my gripe is: 'they are for a mini, why don't they fit.' hey ho.
As for a test drive I need to sort out the fuel system and wiring, then I will be ready for a mini drive. I might overlook the brakes, who needs them eh!?

The original mini doors didn't exactly 'fit'.
If you want to save weight but want better fitter doors have you not considered fitting fibreglass skins to the metal frame.

Yep, I think that is the answer, chop a little bit out of the door frame and re-glass it at a different angle.

Its the gamble you take with any fibreglass parts my front end didnt or doesnt fit that well but its the price you pay for being a llittle bit lighter on the panels

These are mounted on the bulkhead above the chassis rail behind the catch tank.
Despite only having the bare minimum of stuff the engine bay is starting to get abit busy with components.

Is this left on your drive overnight ?, if it is do you secure it somehow ? i'd be anchoring it on all fours surrounded by tigers if i was you, although having said that you might live in an area of the uk thats not got a theiving scrap man on every street in there transit (which would be a rare street )

The scrap men don't really hassle us here, no-one does really, so in that respect it's quiet.

Well no idea if i,ve commented on this thread before but i,ve watched it for sometime now and its quite amazing what you,ve acheived here, and with 110 followers that just confirms how intriguing this build really is, continue on dear sir!

Cheers Cliff, thanks for the kind words. It has been a real slog and recently I've been lacking the motivation to do stuff, but sometimes I'm just abit hesitant in doing stuff. Although I suppose there's no right and wrong way of doing things, just making decisions as I go.
Anyhow it will get done, but I did miss my deadline of MITP 2013!

Haha yeah theres no "mini to cosworth haynes manual" available as of yet im afraid
Theres next years MITP though, then im sure it'll be better as it'l give you time to iron out the bumps and get it looking tip top by then ;)

Maybe with hindsight the tigers would have been cheaper!!

I'd be happy to save this car a place on the TMF stand for MITP 2014!!

I can't wait to see the monstrous wheel arches you'll be fitting to this. Absolutely awesome build, and it's going to be devastatingly fast.
