Installed the front diff with strengthening plate
Installed the water pump and pulley
Installed the engine mounts
Installed the aeroquip fittings for my breather system
Cleaned up a few engine brackets
And broke a turbo
Also I realised that my standard exhaust manifold has a crack through it!!
Also out of all of these pieces I think I might have salvaged one good turbo.
All I had to do was to swap the exhaust housings as I wanted a larger .63 exhaust housing. But the turbo core was broke (or I broke it)
Note the loose piece
After a good hour or so im finally left with this
Although I did notice that there are some small cracks around the waste gate. Does anyone think that these will cause problems??

Going to modify your tubular manifold then?

I might just see about getting a replacement one, I've phone up a couple of company's so we will see what happens.
On a side note I've managed to get some red cams cheap off eBay, so I might swap them out aswell.

Cracks like this are common and shouldnt cause you a problem

Looking at the engine mount that clashes with your manifold. Could you not fabricate one out of some steel plate and box section or something? Surely it would be easier to make the mount than to cut and modify you manifold.
Drawn steel has better fatigue resistance than cast material. An engine mount made of steel plate and drawn section will be less prone to fracture so you should be able to produce a part that has at least equal strength.

If it proves harder than anticipated I will look at modifying the mount.
Look what arrived today...

Been fitting the clutch and flywheel today...
Old at the top new at the bottom
Flywheel fitted
Flywheel weighing 4.8 kg where as the standard one weighs 14kgs!!
Old pressure plate, practically worn through
New (used) pressure plate
I was trying to fit my new inlet manifold but rain stopped play

Fitted the cams and new cam seals
And got it timed up and can belt fitted
Cleaned the throttle body only to find my billet fuel rail doesn't fit the swedish plenum...
I also cleaned the oil modine and fitted it in place ready for some new seals.
Also fitted a quick shift to the gear linkage
The left one is the quick shift!
So I'm on the hunt for a decent inlet plenum... It really does extract the urine.

This is looking great - can't wait to see the finished product!
I think you should keep the 850 badge on the boot though...

The exhaust is another matter, when removing the studs out the manifold I've noticed the flange isn't exactly as flat as I would like.
I fear running 2.3bar of boost might have a negative effect on the sealing capabilities.
Off to get milled me thinks.
