I hope your kidding! lol I don't think I would let anyone drive it apart from me! Unless they gave me 50k to keep hold of while they did!

It looks amazing, can i ask how much its all cost?

You can ask... but I wont be telling you. I just want the thread to be informative, so that people can learn things from it. I was trying to research if its been done before and couldnt really come up with anything apart from the 2.9 v6 references.

i think 'drive' may be a loose term to describe point in general direction, squirt and hope for the best

this will surely define a whole new league of torque steer won't it ?

Years ago I had a chipped and modified 4*4 cosworth and the torque steer was non existant, I don't see why this wouldn't be the same, I know it has a shorter wheelbase but otherwise it's all standard mechanics

I don't think it'll torque steer, thought that was more of a front wheel drive thing caused by the difference in drive shaft lengths on each side????

i think this is one on the best non mini engined mini i have ever seen be built everything you have done is spot on no bodges etc. this will be one amazing santapod car have you thought about nitrous oxide?

There has been acouple done before using the YB engine. Theres a black one being built over on 16v atm. Theres also a baby blue one that cyclone motorsport built that was at castle coombe at the weekend. Mind you these are rwd as apposed to 4WD

Funny that, I was thinking about nitrous... and low and behold I've got a nice setup waiting to go on the car. Also I've a nice water injection setup as well. Hopefully this will help control intake temps and allow me to run more boost! However 2.2 bar I think is enough!

awww very nice i cant wait!! whats the standard bhp for the engine then how much with the nitrous give you will take this next year to mitp or a santapod track day if so you will denfently have to let us or me know as i will amke the trip just to see your car i love it

Standard power for the engine is about 220bhp and I'm hoping for around 370bhp or so.
I say nitrous, but I have a setup to spray nitrous over an intercooler thus cooling the intake temps. It isn't spraying nitrous and fuel direct into the engine, but I suppose it could the changed! Lol

Yeah I plan to put it up the strip once everythings setup and will let the forum know if anyone wanted a day out at the pod!
