Sleeper, thanks for the complement. As for your friends Justy, I was thinking of a similar setup, albeit a scooby 4x4 setup, before deciding on the cosworth. I might check out your friends thread, has he got one on here?

As with alot of things I will get the miglia arches fitted and see how they look! Although I did look into caterham arches and they would have covered the wheels perfectly! hey ho

Well the extra wide arches are about 8.25" but the wheel themselves are 9" wide and practically stick out the total 9".

The plan is: the arches ive got are going to be offered up at the extremity of the wheel then filled out where required to meet the body.

I love this thread.

Love everything about the car, keep it this track width. Looks mental.

Your car looks f*&&%$ing awesome!!!! I have had an idea for your arches....how about a couple of cut down oil drums....they should cover them wheels, or maybe beer barrels cut in half lol.
Can't wait to see it on the road

Looks great, I think it looks fine with the track that width, extra wide arches could easily be fabricated to cover those, I think customised group 5's would looks great, they needn't look too wide if they're designed well, if you make a front splitter to the same width it could look good.. kinda like the Audi DTM car Posted Image

Holy crap! Just read the thread on the pandsmoc site! That thing is amazing, Justy +clubman and I'm not that big a clubman fan. And this conversion should be even better, cossie + roundnose(ish) I can't wait, actually can't wait to see it finnished. Hurry up! Though seriously the progress you've made is inspiring.

Not really any pictures for people until probably next Friday. However the bulkhead mounted pedal box has been dropped off and I've just ordered a huge intercooler, alloy radiator and fans.
Hopefully this is the last of the big purchases and a final date can be set for getting the car back. At the moment the drivers side floor is being modified and the front end is being fitted.

Oh and ebays been my friend by picking up some billet alloy pulleys, and a breather system complete with aeroquip fittings! Yummy!

Kalum, as for those arches I think they're abit flat, I would like them angled.

More goodies arrived but somehow I think the intercooler is a tad large! Lol (where were those measurements again!?)

Went down today to see the old beastie, for it to be just sitting in the middle of the workshop, and then it just suddenly hit me how aggressive the stance of the car is!

Posted Image

The steering has been sorted out..
Posted Image

The pedal box is being worked on, with more adjustments needed to the pedals and floorpan....
Posted Image

and also the front strut supports are starting to take shape
Posted Image

Posted Image

Although the flip front is being re-enforced and the bonnet bonded in so that its one piece and retains some rigidity. Then its the shiny new intercooler and radiator to be squeezed under it and in front of the engine. Believe it or not the intercooler actually fits in the space between the chassis rails at the front!!
