easy to criticize... especially when your behind a keyboard!

I think youve got the right idea kmol, build then modify if needs be. I think once youve got some lovely fabricated DTM touring style arches covering them it will look the dogs balls! carry on mate, good build!

i couldn't agree more people are far to quick to complain sometimes.

i love this build and have watched it since the begining and every time i read it i like it more. i have to say i would be temped to fit motorbike style mud guards to those arches as it would look insane and really confuse people too.

i reall think you needed to run a more sierra ofset wheel which didnt have a dish to bring the wheels a little bit closer in, other than that F-ing cool project!

The only problem with a more sierra offset is that the wheels are usually 15"+ in diameter!
I was limited with what choice of offset I had with 9*13" wheels! Plus I wanted alloys in the style of mini wheels

leave it sticking out, it is what it is! i think the best thing is to put some serious time into the arch choice,

looks good thought infact it looks very good, I love it.

Quality idea!

If the super wide track width is only a temporary thing (for Phase 1, as you say) then the wheel hugging mudguards would look wicked. Defo something different. :)

Something like the ones on the Ariel Atom:

Build looks wicked by the way, props to you for following through a project so massive!

I really think putting mudguards on will make a mini look very strange indeed, but each to there own

Cheers
David

look how wide it is it already looks strange why not go the hole hog and make it look different but in a good way, have fibreglass arches out that far will look odd too so why not embrase it :proud:

A little update for those who are interested (as I will be away for a couple of weeks)
Some more goodies arrived but still no pedal box! ;)
Adjustable front arms and top mounts
Posted Image

The car is now sitting under its own weight. Me being the big kid I am jumped at the chance to check out the seating position, its surprisingly not too bad despite the roll cage being present and needing a snap off steering wheel to get in and out! Oh and not being able to reach anywhere near the dash! lol But time will tell as to how nice it feels once the pedal box is fitted.

There's still tonnes to do but its getting there! :w00t:

Oh and there will be a passenger seat fitted for anyone brave enough to come out in it with me!

So who all thinks the wheels stick out too much, as I don't think they look as bad as last week when it was up in the air!
