Yep, videos will be filmed, from the first start to a full launch with launch control and anti lag enabled! All this through the front exit exhaust that's planned!

The cars looking abit more like a mini, although the wheels are going to take abit of getting used to, as they stick out abit! lol

The rear arches have been cut, sills have been fabricated and fitted, underside has been cleaned up abit, the front end has been fitted and the bonnet cut to clear the cams, also I have front turrets, so all that is needed is the suspension to arrive and it can stand unaided for the first time in about 7 months! Who ever said it was going to take a couple of months! oh yeah me! lol

Anyway time for some pictures:

Who said I had a large rear end

oooh i wish you didnt have to put arches on, that looks sweet like a mahusive gocart from the back.
and have you thought about the handling its width has got to be pretty similer to its wheelbase, might make for a very short turning circle, cant wait to see it finished should be very cool.

I know handling will be compromised due to the width but I think first things first, get it on the road and rolling and see how made it actually handles.

Then it can always be rectified in stage two of the modifications!

I do like the first picture aswell its just so wide its crazy, i did have to stand quite far back to get it in! lol

Dont want to put a downer on your cool project, but it looks kind of stupid. It would be way cooler to have it looking vaguely Mini like. How big a job would it be to narrow the suspension arms and driveshafts? I doubt you are going to be able to get it as narrow as a Mini track, but maybe back to half of the wheels under the arches would be a compromise?

Absolutely brilliant mate, congrats on the build so far.

The one thing that i will say aswel, like stated be CobraV8 that you should have shortened driveshafts made up, as imoo i think it will look uterly ridiculus with the track that wide.

But hay its your mini, you can do as you like

Cheers bud

as long as the bodykit/arches cover them it will look alright, for example...

easy to criticize... especially when your behind a keyboard!

I think youve got the right idea kmol, build then modify if needs be. I think once youve got some lovely fabricated DTM touring style arches covering them it will look the dogs balls! carry on mate, good build!

Don't get me wrong, valid points have been made as there's nothing I would like more than the track to be narrower! But I feel at the moment, the car needs to get on the road. There's so much time and money invested in this and the track will be addressed in stage two of the build.
I know some may say it's a false economy to fix things up when your later going to amend them but I feel for my sanity it needs to be on the road. I mean I really want to drive this beast. To customise all suspension and get it how I want it would add months to what's already an epic build.

Stage two will be tubular front and rear end built into the cage and with the whole rear beam lobbed in the skip. It will be replaced with an independant setup. This will address the track somewhat so it will hopefully retain some mini features in the near future.
