Does anyone know how wide the fortech arches actually are? It's tempting to just cover them, but I would really love it to look like a stock mini!
Well i've got some arches and am going to see the car later so might have some pictures for people.

you can get extra wide miglia arches, but how wide is extra wide...im not sure, could look what z-cars do or something like that maybe?

Some arches which still leave 1/2 inch to an inch of tyre sticking out might create an optical illusion of being further in than they are. I would advise against 'pulling it in' for ease of setting up and avoiding complications such as bump steer, I would imagine this would be a royal pain on a big power, short wheel base car like this !
Looking good though ! Seriously impressive, to echo everyone else who has seen this !

Sorry for the lack of updates, ive been trying to sort a few things out that im not exactly happy with but for the sakes of getting it on the road sometime this year, i think things will just have to get done!!

Ive decided to keep the standard track width and just cover the wheels the best I can. (Phase two will be new rear end and suspension)

Oh ive bought some adjustable coilovers both damping and rebound, and ive ordered a fully adjustable front end as im using off the shelf ford arms etc.

Anyway enough of of this time for a few pictures...

Bias peddle box mounted, although before everyone says, yes i should have got a bulkhead mounted one!

And here how it currently looks

I still need to address the front end and the space required for the intercooler, rad and fans, but im going to worry about it another day!! As at the moment the shopping list just seems to be endless....

I'm more and more impressed with this thread everytime I see it. I really thought it was going to be another crazy amazing idea that never got properly started but I'm glad it's not. Can't wait to see your next update.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement, they are needed at the moment...
Anyway a couple of more pictures for you,

Rear adjustable coilover suspension is mounted, im just waiting on the front and then soon it might stand under its own weight!! Whoop whoop
Posted Image

The rear diagonal has been fitted along with the drivers door bar (of which i forgot to get a picture of!)
Posted Image

Im thinking of changing the pedal box to a bulkhead mounted one, but the choice is overwhelming! but hopefully another pedal box will be ordered within a couple of days!

Oh and i dont know why, but i do find myself buying stuff that i should be buying at this stage. Rather than buying things that will help the project move along quickly i end up buying goodlies like this....

It is nice though! yummy

I was looking at the pedal box, currently you would have your head behind the central rollcage hoop, I don't know how tall you are but it may be worth considering moving the rollcage hoop back anyway as well as the bulkhead mounted pedals. What you don't want either is your head to be under the rollcage either

Cheers
David
