got some stuff done on friday i started fitting the mega jolt kit i got from trigger-wheels the kit is really nice but unfortunitly as i have so many aftermarket parts all over the place nothing seams to fit very well as the fan catches on the trigger wheel the braket for the senser goes off at a strange angle due to my belt drive cam and the bottom pulley bolt isn't long enough. oh well will try n sort these things out during the week as i eally want to hear him run (he hasn't run in the 3.5years i have owned him.)

i have been having a think and spoke to a few people and im not sure that the wheels i have are really up to the job as the engine is high spec and im hoping for somewhere in the 100bhp mark i think i may need wider wheels, so i have a plan please let me know what you think. plan is to get the rims banded to about 5.5" or maybe 6"and to have the rims chromed and black rather than silver paint and black and to then fit a small arch onto the car i know it'll be a shame as it might take away from the look of the car but it should make it a lot more drivable.

please tell me what you think of this plan as i don't want ever one to say i have ruined my car once i have done it.

yeah well its everything apearing like it is standard untill you look closely, like my mini is now but to make it drivable i think i may need wider wheels as i want this car to be usable and not a show piece.

i can't the tires are already a bit to wide for the rim and im worried it'll cause problems on hard cornering.

Sounds like a plan to me mate. Banded wheels look awesome, and if you have to stick arches on, its a small price to pay for driveability.

ok so Morgan today showed signs of life :) as i now have a fully working megajolt ignition system. after a few problems, like attacting the megajolt, coil and edis unit to a power surply that turns off when you crank the engine over and wiring the censor wrongly it all works fine, problem now is that the carb isn't letting fuel in so i will have to take a look at that on sunday.

He runs I'm so happy I could wee myself. The problem was a sticky needle jet so I changed the needle and on the second attempt to turn him over he fired into life with a cloud of smoke from the oil in the bores

i could do with a hand as i have a mental block at the moment. what i want to know is what you would be checking over on a fresh rebuilt car before its mot and first drive as i am nearing this point and don't want to miss something at this late stage.

i still have to fit the door glass bleed the clutch and brakes and loom up the wiring but waht else should i go over just in case?

Ok well as said before he now runs and has oil pressure (it kept losing pressure) all the electrics work and I'm in the middle of sorting out a metal boot lid as the fibre glass one leeks. Then it is just final adjusting and bleeding to do, oh yeah and door glass to fit. I'm cutting it close though as it looks like I have to be out of my garage by the 11th of august >_<
