well as i said progress has been slow the last few months due to one thing or enouther but he now looks like this

done some body work on it this weekend as there were parts i was unhappy with and i also test fitted the badges :thumbsup:

well this week he has really moved on got the doors boot and bonnet resprayed as wasn't happy with them and they are all fitted now made a stainless steal bonnet stay and got almost all the wiring finished (am making a custom loom just the interior light, reverse light n fog light left to do :lol: so what do you think he is a sexy boy isn't he.

good news i have fallen in love with my mini again so all plans to sell it and buy a big classic jap car have gone out the window. i once again have the mini bug.

As i have almost definitly missed the whole show season this year >_< i have decided to modify my project a little more over the winter. i will be getting it MOT'ed and on the road as soon as i can to run in the new engine and will then fitting my recent investment a fully mapable megajolt ignition and a 7 speaker sound system too. One way or enougher you'll hear me coming.

Maybe I havent read the right articles, but they all tell me that to run a weber downdraft that you have to have a hood scoop cause the filter comes out the top of the hood to get clean, colder air. Did you go with a lower filter or what? Thats the carb I want to put on my mini just wondering how the setup might look afterword. Thanks for any info.

yeah it does stick out the top so i sold my one :D and went for a hiff44 instead as it didn't suit the car. if you do have it out the bonnet you cant have air flowing directly onto the filter as it can cause a vacum over the top over the carb starving it of oxygen plus you will find it very hard to get the mixture right as even if this doesn't happen as the air flow will never be constant.

Megajolt will be here soon then I'll be dong the finishing touches but I'm still looking for ever horse I can find so any ideas please feel free to share but I wana stick with it being a 1293 and Na, If not I'm going to move on swapping all the suspension parts I can for light weight items.

Thanks mate it's nice to hear some one else like my little mini. I got the indicators from a load of old spares I have got.

I'm not sure but I think I have a few more will have a look 4 u.

Other news I recieved a parcel from triggerwheels today a whole megajolt set up and it arrived in 2 days really happy with those guys n gals. I can't wait till Tuesday when hopefully I'll be able to get the car running for the first time :withstupid:
