yeah it does stick out the top so i sold my one and went for a hiff44 instead as it didn't suit the car. if you do have it out the bonnet you cant have air flowing directly onto the filter as it can cause a vacum over the top over the carb starving it of oxygen plus you will find it very hard to get the mixture right as even if this doesn't happen as the air flow will never be constant.Maybe I havent read the right articles, but they all tell me that to run a weber downdraft that you have to have a hood scoop cause the filter comes out the top of the hood to get clean, colder air. Did you go with a lower filter or what? Thats the carb I want to put on my mini just wondering how the setup might look afterword. Thanks for any info.

Thanks mate it's nice to hear some one else like my little mini. I got the indicators from a load of old spares I have got.God i love this mini .

Other news I recieved a parcel from triggerwheels today a whole megajolt set up and it arrived in 2 days really happy with those guys n gals. I can't wait till Tuesday when hopefully I'll be able to get the car running for the first time
