Morgan named after my old pet rat.(Morgan was going to be a high power rat look once)

He started life off as a yellow 850 in 1970 but a lot has changed since then. he is painted in a ford colour that is called Black Tulip and has a retro theme with his Mk1 style front and rear and wood and picket arches p700 headlights and mini special 10" wheels all done to make the car look old and hide its true character.

The interior has classic black bucket seats with matching rear seat blck carpets and a 60s Speedwell after market dash board as well as a custom bottom rail to housemy cd played and the switch panel and a retro retrims roof liner with A,B & C post covers and dash trim.

The engine is a 1275 A+ unit that has been rebored to 1293 with AE slipper pistons it also has a Longman head with 36mm inlet and 29mm exhaust valves and a compresion ratio of 10.9-1 he has 1.3.1 roller rockers and the camshaft is a Kent 286 megadyne which is driven by a Minispares cam belt kit. the con rods were lightend and ballanced by Vmax Skart as was the crank, the fly wheel is lightend and ballanced and the dizzy shaft has been machined down to save weight. the engine is fueled by a Weber 28/36 downdraft fed by a Facet solid state fuel pump and the exhaust escapes via a stage two manflow manifold and into twin box maniflow side exit exhaust. The gear box is a fully recon minispeed box with a KAD quickshift

The brakes are 7.5 cooper s discs with alloy 4pots at the front and Minifins at the rear. He has Hi lows all round with adjustable Protect alloy shocks, heavy duty adjustable tie bars and front, rear adjustable camber all mounted on Polyflex poly bushs.

today the roof liner went in it looks amazing my old man did most of it and did a great job. i have also had to change the wheel studs as i have new wheels fitted decided agains the special alloys for something a bit more old school. the rear brakes are all done just need plumbing in and cables.

That engine bay looks so neat and tidy, I'm jealous.

Shame you took the special alloys off, I really like them. Don't suppose you'd consider selling me the special wheel nuts would you?

there have been a few changes to the car the DCD28/36 has gone due to me not liking the buldge in the bonnet i had to have as it made the car look too modified so i now have a highflowed hiff44 on it. and the car is very close to being ready to run.
