Another eye popping project thread .

Blimmy I wish It could be that fast...lol It's going well and we have reconditioned most of the mechanical stuff now as well so the actual build back up will be super fast! just got both back quarter panels to do on the body and I can then put it in primer ready for paint! Mrs Matrix is getting excited now she wants one bad!

You must've been hard at it to get the body and mechanicals done so fast!

I sure am excited now its starting to look like a mini again & yes Oz has been working really hard at getting everything done! Im blown away by his work and im really enjoying watching it all come together :D

still waiting for welding gas but got loads of other stuff done...front sub is built up and ready to go on...heads all finished and a found a set of coil over shock so might as well through them on.

Is the subframe painted or powdercoated??

subframe is hot coated...bit like powder coat but you can do it yourself
sprayed the engine with proper Mini BMC green came up good and Mr Matrix did it not me
thing are going well with the rebuild and my helper is ace

Oz means Mrs Matrix cleaned up and sprayed the engine Looking forward to doing more soon!

rubbing down at present getting ready to put it in primer...Mrs Matrix has decided it's going to be old english white with a black roof so should look nice. Got a few new bit for it as well
water pump
silicone hose set
3 core rad
fan
all new poly bushes
reconed the radious arms myself
and a rear sub
other bits that got reconed
S brakes so it can run on 10's
plus loads more lol like you do

Sounds like a very nice spec Mrs Matrix is getting there, she must be chuffed!

I plan on doing white and black myself, torn between snowberry white and old english white, looking for something with just a hint of cream to it but never seen them both at the same time to decide

Dont you fancy putting a front flip on it?

Also i'll be coming down to Moss tomorrow or sometime next week to get some engine paint (hope you've got red and black in stock), so if you get someone called Chris asking for you, you know who it is
