So? What wheels did you go with?

And in the interests of simplicity & further weight saving,
I would suggest a horn like this:

Could the majority of that horn not be made out of carbon fibre??

Now you guys are just being silly :erm:
Sticking your head out the window & yelling "BEEP BEEP" is not the answer

I remembed reading this thread some time...I only recently came back to the forum to check on the progress!

What you're doing is pretty much my ideal Mini  I'm extremely jealous that you have the time and money to pull it off!

I have a couple of questions if you'd be so kind...

What are you doing with the doors after the floor chop? I'm guessing they will need some "adjustments"

Do you aim to have the car road legal? If so, will you be looking at getting it SVA'd?

How did you go about calculating the mounting points for the engine bits under the bonnet, coilovers etc?

I''ve been trying to map a few things out in my head, in case I ever get the chance to build such a vehicle!

Thanks.....

The Car will be road Legal, the doors will be alitlle shorter than normal, even though I at present they are normal body hieght with shorter glass. I intend to shorten the Skin hieght and bring up the base of the door.... All will become clear
once you see the side cills that will be on it...

Still finishing my friends Ultiam at present, nearly ready to start the engine now so not far away from getting out of my garage and getting the mini back out of storage...

Missed a Curly Carbon Dash on Ebay before my recent Holiday in the USA....
Probably some one off here !!!! Well that's Ebay for you... You win Some you Loose Some......

While I was in Las Vegas there happened to be a Big car Show there.....What a stroke of luck (not what my wife thought though...) and I found one Mini....

This baby was OTT like all the other cars there, to much ICE and weight... But It did have a mid mounted Honda Vtec with a Supercharger.... NICE....

I saw very similar car in America last year. This one had a ford cvh turbo in the back. Spoke to the builder and he said he was planning another one with something more powerful. If it's the same guy then he actually comes from Leeds. Moved to America few years ago.
