Looks like a late model possibley efini I'd guess about 2000-2001??

It will be twin rotary twin turbo. Unless he's gone for the popular single (but larger) turbo conversion

Yes Lads and Lasses, it's a Rx7 Type R Twin Turbo, with alittle extra Boost and a different front end...

It was realy nice about 300bhp rwd and a lsd as standard, but as with most Rotories, it's done 52,000 miles, and is starting to use water. Which means it needs new housing seals ( Head Gaskets ). Presently it's last on my list of things to do.....

Trust me the mini will blow any RX7 into the weeds....
ng Just to save everyone Guessig what other cars I have at present here's the list at present :w00t:

1971 Mini ( Of course )
1993 Pug 405 Desiel turbo Estate ( everybody needs a Parts fetcher )
1996 Mitsi FTO ( sold last month )
1993 RX7 Twin Turbo ( In need of TLC )
1996 Celica GT4 Turbo ( Wife's car at present )
1998 Pug 406 ( bought as a none runner but now fixed and up for sale )
2001 Corvette ( Just been painted with Le Mans colours )( Wife's new car )
2005 Suzuki GSX1300RK5 Hayabusa Bike ( Fastest road legal thing I have ever owned ) ( but bl**dy scary....)

Think that's it But I'll check in the garage in the morning and come back to you If I've missed anything....

soooo very small wheels then! :w00t: what size are they going to be, a fair ammount of cutting there! :nugget:

The fronts will run 15" wheels. They where going to be 195/45, but I can't get the cut road slicks I want in a 45 profile, so they are going to have to be 190/50...In for a penny in for a pound....

A 175-50-13 has an overall Diameter of 19.8" mine will be 22.7".....

i know its off topic but as its your car your probably interested in talking about it, am i right in saying that rotary engines wear out because of the carbon tips on the rotors and if you use diamond tips on the rotors the motor lasts a hell of a lot longer?

as for the wheel base, arent those wheels going to be a little hard to handle when your trying to park the thing

As for the RX7 thing, I'm going to give it a complete rebuild while it's apart, and yes the new rotor tip seals last for nearly twice as much 100,000 miles. But it's not just the tip seals, there are the sides seals and the end seals... These are all of some kind of secret material. My tip seals are ok at present as it's only lossing water, but while it's apart I will do the all.

As far as the Mini wheels go....
Well the Kingpin angle, Scrub radius, Caster angle, Rack ratio and wieght across the front axle make the differance as to how stiff the turning the wheel will be at low speed.
The Kingpin angle is less than a Mini (therefore Easyer to turn and less Jacking )
The Scrub radius is about 35mm less than a mini ( Easyer to turn again )
The Caster angle I'm not sure what a Mini is as standard ?
The Rack ratio is 2.25 turns lock to lock ( Probably stiffer than a normal mini)
And now for the big one, the wieght across the front axle compared to a normal mini will be ALOT less, as engine is now in middle of car so that must be at least 150kgs lighter....

So realy I would expect it to be about the same to maybe lighter.... But 195 is alot smaller than the 235 I'm used to with my Ultima, and that was a Ba******

Anyway how cares about the slow stuff, I'm building her to take Cops Corner at 100+
