More parts......

Found this in the US.... Makes for a lot cheaper Air Shifter that can be used up and down the box with a 2 way Sprung return air cylinder. It's on its way to blighty as we speak.....

AND bought one of these, so I can now have self canceling indicators working of buttons on the wheel......

Bonus was that it is very light and simplfies the wiring, and getts rid of the Hazard and Indicator relays so it nearly saves weight...... Or it could be that I could not resist and had to have one.....

R1 Mini...

Powertec make more than 1 diff unit. The unit i have is still a chain drive unit. The powertec unit you have seen in the Radical, would be to long as you say I realised that early on. If you look though the Quaife Cat. they have a few of some use...

I have though in fact moved the engine nearly 2-3" further forward than in the Z cars versions, so my feet and pedals are already in the old engine bay..
This has the advantage of keeping the drive shafts striaght, as well as better wieght split....

Been doing alittle thinking.....

Went to Westfield Sports Cars the other day with a friend to pick up some parts,
while I was there I spoke to a nice guy called Gavin..

Long story Short they will sell me there Ally front uprights, Ally Hubs and front Wishbones, and let me have the diamensions of the front wishbones chassis pickup points.

So looks like that's the only stumbling block I had on the chassis design solved.
I can now get on with the front when time allows.

Also been looking at Rally Sport Replicas, and was thinking about those Radford hatch back conversions..... I'm sure RS Replicas would make me a complete backend in Fibre Glass if I asked nicly. So I could make the lights boot and rear window all into a hatch back. It would have to be made so you could not see the joins, so it would still look like a Mini.....

We shall see on that one...

But then again I could do the same as this guy.....

http://www.kimini.co.....ide view1.JPG

and instead of a hatch back I could have a flip back......

What do you recon guys ???? and Girls of course ????

that is pretty mental. loads of carbon to. very nice, a good way to go as long as it did'nt spoil the shape of the mini.
