Engine mocked up to try and find the best turbo position. The Normal position is in front but I saw the Radical Motorsport car had it behind the engine, with 2 pipes going each side of the motor. I had thought to try and fitt it at the side, but am still making my mind up. If you fitt it at the side you can move the engine forward about 2", whichs make a good difference for the wieght split.

And with the Turbo at the side, but the Exhaust entry and exit is alittle tricky. If you get the entrypointing forward then thee exit faces the engine. So more thinking to do here.

That was a Consern of mine Lewis. But after alot of mucking around am going to put the turbo in front of the engine the same place as Holeshot put these. This does mean I am having to cut away the front bulkhead to stick my feet and pedals though, because my engine is further foward than the Zcars kit.

Todays progress, the seat belt beam for the 4 Way harnes, and the Diagonal for added strenght. Note I have cut 4 x 19mm holes for the threaded bushes I will make, for the Seat belt Ankers.

Now I know where the seats are going I can start the tunnel between them. I need somwhere to put the water pipes for the rad etc so a Tunnel is a must.

Fiat 126 that's even lighter than a Mini..... Have a spare Busa if you want 300bhp.... Hows the engine drive the wheels ? Front / rear engined ?
Any photo's ? what diff do you use ?

will try to get some pics up soon, its rear wheel drive the engine is mounted in the original bay, only 6 forward gears so far, originally we used the fiat gearbox which gave a choice of 24 gears...unfortunately that let go big time so we went for a granada diff with mk2 escort drive shafts that seems to hold it so far, would be interested in some kind of reverse unit if you know of one that isnt fortunes...oh yea forgot to mention that the car looks totally stock so is a bit of a sleeper looking forward to some scooby bashing heh heh :D
