Bike Gearboxes are designed so that if you keep pressing the gearchange pedal down you eventualy get to 1st gear. So they put the only Neutral sort of between 1st and 2nd gear. So when you start off in neutral, you push the pedal forward to engauge 1st gear. Then you pull the pedal back to engauge 2nd 3rd etc.
1 Forward 5 Back ......from neutral.
To get neutral put into 1st gear and pull back slowly to get the half gearchange to 0, only slowly because if you pull back normaly it goes into 2nd.

Hope that makes sense.

Finaly took the Carbon out of the mould. Rested it on the roof and trimmed the edges. Then drilled and fitted temp rivits to hold it in place.

It fitt's like a glove. I'm more than pleased how it's turned out, but the time scale was longer than I had planned. I don't think Mr Curley has anything to fear from me.....

Was hoping to keep the inside bare so you could see the carbon. But I'm not sure as the finish on that side isn't the best.

i think a bare carbon fibre roof would look very trick, i've seen a pagani zonda in bare carbon fibre (lacquered obviously) in evo magazine and it looked the dogs danglies

The roof section I chopped out the middle with all the filler etc in it was at least 25Kgs. (filler was thick in places). The new roof is realy light probably only 1-2 Kgs Max, It is very flexable because I didn't put in to many layers, but that's how I wanted it. When the cage etc is built I will put in some tie-ins to stop it flexing.

Cars back on the jig now time to start back on the suspension again.
