The thick bit where the studs go through, this is a the exhaust flanges

ok so the flanges are the same thikness.

so i need a bigbore gasket and gasket sealent then/???

you should not put gasket sealant on an exhaust gasket, because it will leak, due in part to irregularities within the spread layer of sealant, the type of fuel used etc........



That's why....... you simply will not get an exhaust sealer to work on this type of gasket.... and any way if done correctly it works very well.. :)
