Well descided to start a new install in the mini, i previously had a full alpine R type set up but didnt have enough bass, so ive changed the subs and amps but kept the type R speakers because i like the sound of them.

so far ive got the 2 new subs, the headunit, the bluetooth, the amp and all the perspex.
once the car comes back i can start building. heres a few pics of the gear going in.
will keep updating as i go along.

im using 2 alpine swx1042d's 1000w/rms 3000w/peak each, iva-d106r 7" touchscreen, pdx 1.1000 digital mono amp, kce-350 blutooth, swr17c comps upfront, swr-69c 6x9's in the back. 10mm prespex sheet and 25mm perspex tube for mounting the amp. also 25mm thick sheet etched with the alpine logo for the box.














thats the list so far, ill try and keep a diary of the progress!

Looks pretty expensive spec to me
I love music, don't get me wrong, I love bass too, but unless you're gonna get everything sealed in correctly etc, mini's aren't the place for subs in my opinion!

i kinda get it hand, alpine is 1 of r biggest sellers, so discount is really good!!!

oh its well sealed up, that an about 300quid of dynamat!! lol.

That slab of plexiglass is gorgeous! Bet that cost a fair bit! Is it gonna be neon lit?

yep 24 LEDs to go in it so it lights up the alpine. Danny it wasnt as dear as i thought it would be. 400mm x 300mm x 25mm thick and etched cost me £55. dont think thats too bad in my eyes! well worth it when u see the plastic taken of it!!

Yeah, I bet that was a proud moment And yeah thats a good price for plexiglass that thick, and with the engraving included you cant complain! Cant wait to see more progress, gonna be watching this one!

sure was! lol. took like a week an a half to make it! i think if u went for something thiner it would probably be alot cheaper.
