i painted the chrome around the back window on the car

all i have to do now is the chrome insert on the window seals front and back

i took the wiper arms off the vehicle, they were chrome color,
so i painted them black to match the rest of the vehicle
but i havn't put them back on yet

the torque converter went out, its no longer balanced inside,
im in the works of pulling out the torque converter to change it out
and get the car back on the road

last week i installed new door seals and window seals

tonight: i went and picked up some metal so i can build a torque converter puller,
i went and got a flywheeler puller two days ago and it was to big
so now im building one myself

Nice project mate. It reminds me of something from the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. There is a ship in it that is all black..

i made a gear puller out of 3/16 plate and welded a 3/4nut to it,
that didn't work because the metal was to thin
so then i welded some 1/4in plate by 2in wide on it to make it thicker,
the metal was now good, but the grade 8 3/4 bolt i used was to soft,
as the bolt went into the end, it wasn't working as i planned, it was just grinding away and
compacting because its not harden
so i got mad and made that flywheeler puller i got the other day for 22-23pounds work

i drilled holes into it, witch took forever, and i drilled the holes for the bolt pattern of the mini's
torque convertor and it fit 1st time,
so i put it on and used my electric impact gun and it was only going so far, my gun is rated at 250ft-pounds
and after that i got two bars and it just popped out

this torque converter i pulled was from my half extra 998/auto motor with 28k on the clock


so now i still need to get my car in the drive way and take it apart, and swap them out
but i now know how to do it right o it shouldn't take as long

2001 v-8 lsx5.3/auto 4speed, 300hp but when im done moding the engine it will be 400hp to the ground,
and the truck weighs 2800lbs

Maybe you coud start a build thread on the truck in the "others" section, that would be awsomely wicked if you did.

update on the mini

i killed the differential on the car,
so im gonna swap gearboxes, but i need to find someone with a engine lift because
im doing the work myself

also im about to start building a 16v subframe for the car, i may be coming up on a jdm d16a2 zc honda motor
