A bloke at work got some for his TVR and used these guys - http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/ Seem to have most things on there and plenty of knowledge to do with LEDs.

You haven't looked up the lamps for a new MINI have you?

Possibly! I used the site I was referencing to provide the list...

Ok, so I bought a couple of white 382 type LED 'bulbs'.
They work well as indicators in terms of light etc, but I'll need to change the flasher unit to cope with the lower wattage otherwise they flash too quick like a dead bulb.

I've installed them as reverse lights.

where did you get them from in the end, and which version are they? i know they do a few different styles of the same number.

It's some time since I looked into led bulbs. relevant websites were recommending that for better light output use red led's in red lenses, amber in indicators etc. Anyone considering using them may want to check into this.

These were from this page: Ebay link
Probably more expensive than from some of the other stores, but he seems to have the ones which have more than front facing coverage - which you can see makes a difference from my pictures. You get light out of the side of the light cluster.

The white ones did look good as indicators, but just flashed too quickly.
There was about the same light as for the incandescent bulb.
