Without baffle at 2/3 Max RPM (7150) = 110 dba
With baffle At 2/3 Max Rpm = 108 dba
Rev Limiter at 10750.
So No chance of it passing a noise test as it is at any trackday, but it is ok for The sprint and hilclimb regulations in the sports libre class.
Will look into fitting a std exhaust can on or maybe have a pukka repackable system made sometime in the future but for now it aint worth entering a trackday.
Be warned fellow Z-cars Minis owners, they wont pass noise.
Hence the twin silencer Chris had to fit in order to pass noise at oulton park.............
Will just have to organise a meet up somewhere ????
Cheers

by the way it should be tested at 3/4 max revs, not 2/3, so it would be even louder!!!
I tried a repackable can at Simpsons race exhausts and it was even louder than a standard can....so you will need quite a big one
Mine was about 126dB to start with and now 102dB so there is some hope yet!

At the moment i have removed the driveshafts to fit some new CV boots as the originals are universal boots and are spraying black grease everywhere!!!
I am also going to raise the rear arches whilst the car is in peices so i can lower it a bit more.
Then got to clean it up ready for Mr Stent and Co......
