Not that I am saying there's anything wrong with your method, it's just a good cross reference to see what other people do/recommend!

Well first of all i would like to thank Matt (Mini Mad Me) for coming over last weekend with his tool to fit the windows, after i applied my lube aswell it went in a treat!!!
I never leave home without it!
And congratulations again on your new daughter!
Can't believe how well you've done in the last week on the Mini, especially considering the joys of parenting with a newborn!

what emisions test do they do on bike engined minis ?
bikes dont have a emisions test but cars do so what do they test for ?

If the engine is not the original one for the car, you'd test for the age of the engine (if the engine age can be proved). So you'd have to take engine age ID with the car for the test.
If not tested like that it'll be tested for a default cat emissions test probably???

I have been down there today, not too much going on really, met up with a fe forum members and hung out with dale (R1minimagic) who was not happy as the scrutineers wouldnt let him run without a bulkhead so he was off to B&Q for some materials to construct one!!!

i Reckon if you relocated the exhaust to the other side and had just the tailpipe sticking through youd have onev very decieving little toy as it would look like a city sports pack wanabee the scooby boys would be gutted
oh and congrats on the baby?

I must admit i am not a fan of fibreglass panels but in the power to weight scheme and typical rover "rotten " panel it does this a favour so after a night just to mount the bonnet and line the grill up squarish it was the best resullt!!Looks amazing mark but in second pic the bonnet looks dreadful, is it really that flexoble? my mates fiberglass one wasnt

As for the exhaust, the manifold is supplied witht he kit as such and having a custom jobbie would be costly at this stage so i took the simplicity route and fitted a Remus Silencer for a 1200 bandit with a removeable baffle which should keep the noise down a tad (I hope)
As the pic shows the left hand exit route is hampered by the drive train being in the way!!!
Cheers
Looks fantastic Mark! Sorry I'll miss you on this occasion as I'm off to Stratford on Sunday. Did you drive your mini to Startford or trailer it?
Didnt take it mate as i hadnt cleaned it, only just managed to get everything bolted on the previous evening/early hours saturday morning. Just took my 2 boys down to watch the drag racing and have a look round.
Catch you maybe in stanford hall in august??
Cheers
