Someone has cut up a poor old Mini lol!
I have been thinking that maybe some group 5 arches would cover the wheels better. I reckon the sportspack arches fitted are about 1/2" to narrow unfortunately. Theoretically they'd fail the MOT (depending on the testers eyesight lol).
KEEP THE WHEELS AND CHANGE THE ARCHES!!!!

I just have a rear box section to fabricate this week which will be similar but better as it will be made from one peice of sheet steel. then my mate is coming round to seam weld all the bulkhead and seat rails etc, generally anything which is spot welded together at the moment!!!!!
This is what it looks like so far......

The air box inlets are getting modified with an alloy tube adaptor to fit the round tube on and so they come out sideways insted of facing forward as you wouldnt get a pipe on in the direction they point at the moment.
Will update when the rear x-member is fitted later in the week.

You could try reversing the airbox so the bulk of it is behind and below the throttle bodies, I have seen this done on several firebades and blackbirds it may work for the busa. It could also possibly help with a further reduction in intake noise as the inlets would be further away and behind the engine.
I have somewhere a couple of pictures of this mod but it may take some finding, let me know if you need a piccie
Found one on the internet, it's not very clear, this airbox has also had the corner that would normally stick up cut off level to clear the fury bonnet
Cheers

p.s, good luck with solving that intake problem mark
(this may just be me being thick, but cant you replace the intake box with a cool air intake, of a feed pipe to get around the bar problem??)

Why dont you fit a foam filter instead? Once it is setup it will give more power.
When i ran mine with the standard airbox back on there was a huge drop in power.
