Eddyg: You must have loads of time to spare reading all this...  Thanks for the comments, But i am planning on blasting and painting the shell when it has been assembled and all the fiddly bit's have been fabricated etc then strip it to a bare shell ready. so the summer is a bit more realistic.

Yea its called work!!!! LOL

I think we should have a group buy on Carbon Miglias, I want some and I think one or two other people want them as well.

Yeah good idea, i got a contact at minispeed so i will get a thread going later if you want and see if there is any interest???

Mark :wales:

You'd probably be better off going to Curley directly! Would save any additional mark ups! When I got mine I got them direct!

Well back to the brake issue:
I had already aquired a set of 4-pot alloy KAD calipers and 8" vented discs But i have now found these from a contact who built the last 2 Group A rally Rover mini coopers

Which clamp these 10 1/4" vented discs..........
And they fit inside the 13" rims
I ran these on the escort and that weighed over a 1000kg so if the mini weighs about 600kg built it should stop quicker than it goes or even tip over on it's nose

Could someone with a vacuum former make some bespoke ones for you? I guess they'll be PMMA will they?

Meaning:

PolyMethyl MethAcrylate

or
a 'Plexiglass' type polymer

or

clear plastic!

lol! :smartass:

I just call it perspex!!!!!!!!

The scoops which monte posted look ideal as they will be fastened to Bronze tinted polycarbonate so you wont see much of the hose/scoop anyway

Is it 2" or 3" hose you'll be using? I may have a few sample of stuff at work (masterflex stuff IIRC).

One of them is the same as the cold air feed on the S1 Lotus Elise (I ordered some 'free samples' so a mate could replace some of his lol).

We use that kinda stuff all the time on our products at work.

Im still waiting on the price for the AP's as he also has a pedal box to go with them.
They might be a bit of overkill really for road use but it depends on£££ really.
D-dasturdly has also expressed an interest in them aswell.
I will keep you all informed on how it all works out.

I was looking on the z-cars website and the arches on the red mini that they build in "3 days" look a bit like sportpacks.

And the black that does doughnuts do aswell for that matter

icould always ditch the wheels and fit genuine sportspack????

i think because it will have tinted perspex windows and duct/scoops in the back aswell the sleeper theme is lost a bit.
