Fuel Lines - Inside?

I am quite interested to put the fuel lines inside the car into the floor using the grooves in the shell. As I am going for the rally look rebuild, well some bits.
But what I am wondering is:
Will this have any affect on MOT?
What fuel lines and brake lines will I need to use being inside the car? any special line?
Has anyone else done it, and have any photos.
I think I remember seeing one person doing it on there project, but cant find that now.
Any help or advise would be great.

Last thing you need is a petrol pipe being broken inside the cabin.

For the battery cable it just needs to be american wire gauge 4 or thicker (the smaller the number the thicker the cable with ASG rating, so 2 gauge is thicker than 4 gauge etc). But the general message is that 4 gauge is the bare minimum, this is what normal battery cable is at the end of the day.
For the fuel line i got a reel of copper fuel line from minispares (about a tenner) and then just the 2.5" braded fuel pipe and clips to attach it both ends (to the tank and the fuel pump).
The brake lines you can get pure copper lines from any motor factors but it will not look shiny for long, what you want ideally is a type of line beginning with a K (my mate told me and i can never remember lol!) it looks duller in colour but is a copper alloy and lasts longer, easier to work with (not as brittle) etc.
As for the MOT not they do not have to be armoured or anything, my mate (same one as above) did this a couple of months ago to his Pug 309 GTi 'rally' car and it passed an MOT no hassle. I think all he did in the case of the Pug was put some plastic conduit (round silver stuff like you get for tidying PC cables etc) and tie-wrapped this around the lines where they ran along the inside of the passenger footwell to stop chafing by passengers/co-pilots feet!
Hope this helps, mine will be done at some point in the near future and i shall be posting some pics up!

To run a fuel line inside the car it must be rigid material (metal, not rubber and not braided) and have no joints inside the cabin. It must be one solid piece.

Or direction to a thread which has done it...
I would like to see where people have placed it all, centre, or on the sides.
Also has anyone put the fuel pump in the rear near the tank to save space in the engine bay?
cheers

The shell is an MPi, and they have been placed in the passenger side running along where the main loom for the rear runs and also the seat belt pre-tensioners cables ran.

So the two pipes on left of pic are the fuel and brake lines, and the red is the battery??
Where have you put the wiring for the rear?
anymore pics anyone? of maybe someone who has put them down the centre?

Yeah the two lines on the left are brake and fuel, the brake is the smaller one of the two on the left in 8mm and the fuel line is 10mm.
Then there's the battery cable on the right.

On this second pic, you can see where the fuel line exits on the heel board and runs into a piece of flexi pipe into the boot too connect too the pump located in the spare wheel well. The brake line cross the exhaust tunnel inside the car and exits on the drivrs side of the heel board so its less distance to the 'T' on the rear subframe.
On this final pic, on the right you can see where the fuel pipe exits through the box section in the bulkhead, from here I ran flexi pipe onto the carb.
