Dont get trade on paint
Would have saved LOADS if I did. 30quid already, and I still need more yellow just to get the first colour coat on. I will need at least 1 more colour.

So far I have used 6 cans of topcoat, 2 big cans and one small can of primer. I still need at least 4 more colour cans to finish it properly. Wow I feel light-headed!

spray cans ouch an expensive way to paint a car, if u cant afford a spray job then use brush cellose and flat it and polish it, atleast it will have paint on it and it will cost you less

I realise its expensive, but its a quick finish that with practose can be almost bearable. Halfords do a reasonable deal, 3 small cans for a tenner or 3 large cans for 12quid in the big stores.

Its got a silly chrome tip on a standard exhaust at the minute. Apparently it alters the sound, but I cant tell because I have only driven a Mini with a Stage 1 style manifold-exhaust! I guess its kinda loud.
I dont know what to do about the power thing. Do I go for bucketloads of bhp for it, or sell my lcb and backbox on?
Or keep it for the next car?

:saywhat:
Dude, you really havent used alot of paint on that!
When I sprayed my moped up, I used 3 BIG cans (750ml) of Grey Primer. Then 10 small (500ml) color cans. 5 Black and 5 stone grey.
I laquered the whole bike with clearcoat, Gave it pleanty etc. Then a GOOD Tcut afterwards.
the only part I didnt laquer was the front mudguard, and thats what had the best finish. :erm:
Also, laquer or no laquer. Petrol WILL make it run. So if you do spill petrol on it, LEAVE it. Onceits dry, it will wash off. Dont go rub it as soon as it drips on. i found that out on my Rear wheel arch (Which I sprayed in rattle cans).
Dosent look like a bad job. But if its a permenant job, Do it right dude and use more paint. Dont you get the "Buy 2 get 1 free" deal at ur halfords?
