hey everyone, i have been thinking ever since i had a mini how did bmw come up with their mini

i mean it is completely different to the classic mini everyone knows and loves

this thought crossed my mind when doing up my mini and seeing that my neighbour across the road had a bmw

well whilst at the car park i decided to put my thoughts to the test



any one else agree that the BINI is nothing like the MINI

What's the point beyond this, except to start a Bini bashing thread?

what 998dave is trying to say is.... this is a topic that has been covered on TMF many many times and it very rarely turns out pleasant.

Yes there's been about a million similar threads to this and they nearly always end in tears. So some people like BINIS, where as some prefer the real Mini and see the BINI as a replacement Metro.

But everyone has their own views and as far as I'm concerned, the BINI doesn't even exist in my fluffy psychedelic world anyway: -

As said there have been many threads previously about BMW minis on here (use the search thingy) and there is plenty of information (and some other stuff ) on them and classic minis, it's all pretty much been covered before so for now as requested I'm going to close this as it's Friday and Friday Night's Alright for Fighting.

If there are any problems please contact one of the team and we'll open this again if there is something useful to add, hope that's ok

ive been round the BMW mini factory (they wouldnt let me drive one in to a wall lol) and wen i first walked in there and saw a bare shell with no front so just the bit were people sit in with no doors just the bear shell it does look just like a mini but only wen its been stripped down 'because i got confused and thought that it was a mini not a bini so they have taking some of the desighn on the mini and made it mahusive. having said that i dontr like it at all because they are portraining a bini as a mini wen it is not small in anyway. i do not on the other hand have a problem with the car on the mechanical side of things as it is a good car just wish they had called it in the bmw one series
