Well, this is my daily driver until my mini is finished.

I know it's probably a bad idea to start a project thread for this, but i've already done a few things!

Some pics of the said machine:

It's done 80k miles almost, and still going strong. MOTd til Sep!

Look at that spoiler!

It didn't have a radio when i got it, so i fired in that retro looking number! cool huh?

Now, i have the radio, Radio One, if you look closely!

Anyway, should i remove the side strips? And clean up the rough edges, some sanding, bit of high build primer/filler and some white, and that car will look so much better enh?

On a final note, its a common problem with Mk3s apparently, the fuel tank leaks, i found the leak, in the neck, cut it and put on fuel hose with clips, but not good enough, leaks when i fill it up with more than a fiver LOL. So i've sourced a brand new tank!

Woop! Another polo/mini owner

You on clubpolo mate? Great site for all polo related stuff :D

I've taken the strips off mine but not sure if it looks better or worse.
The little spat thing at the end is a pain as its mounted into holes. I tried fillering then decided against so I'm colour coding it now.
As for the tanks. yup. very common problem. luckily mine was new ish when I bought the car.

Oh, forgot to mention. I also bought mine as a daily whilst doing the mini. it then turned into a project. and now I'm getting rid of the mini and replacing it with a MK2 polo saloon. So beware :genius:

Club Polo?? you heathen! They hump mk4s and onwards there.

www.polo3.co.uk !

Oh, here's the newest change lol!

I can't afford to make the polo my main project, it'll be purely a daily driver, with only needed fixes and simple mods. I got some new sparks for it, and im gonna change the oil and oil filter, and just have it running nice.

In the long run i might put a snazzy air filter on it, but no more.

I did get a brand new tank that im puttin in this weekend though! It's slowing down my minis wiring!

There are a lot of MK4 owners on there. but there are just as many MK3 owners too.

Under the same name on all forums. B-shaw

On polo3 as well but its not as active as clubpolo. get a lot less responses. which isn't much good when you need help quickly with something.
Spent most of my money on parts off clubpolo as well :genius: That site has a lot to answer for haha.

If you need any help with anything polo related drop me a PM.
