Just wondering what colours parts of the engine bay originally would have been or what metal they're made of...
Clutch master cylinder?
Brake servo and limiter?
Water pump pulley?
Crank pulley?
etc...
Thanks!

i think the first three would have been in a finish similar to cadnuim plating which looks a bit like a champayney silvery colour, i found a similar rover colour in an aerosol in Halfrauds

Then your engine should be BMC green. Water pump pulleys would always heve been un-treated raw aluinium I think, although an early car might have had the old 2 part steel pulley which would probably have been passivated or cadmium plated. The clutch master would have been the old golden colour that is no longer used because the chemicals are illegal now, hexavalent chrome plating or something like that. The direct brake servo obviously wouldn't have been there in the '60s but as standard the servo you have got now would be yellow passivated, you could do it the same colour as the clutch master or an enamelled black that would be similar to the old remote servos.
Frost Auto Techniques sell all kinds of sprays and finishes that replicate the original surface treatment used on under bonnet parts and running gear. They will probably have a paint that is the same colour as the old hexavalent chrome.

Like Dan said, go on the website for Frost Auto Restoration Techniques, they have aerosols which replicate all those finishes.
