Hey Everyone,
I'm a bit confuddled with the dzus fasteners i require, if anyone can help that would be brilliant.
Im having an american syle front flip and to hold it down at the a-panels im using dzus fasteners but which one's do i need off the rally design website? I'm thinking 4 on each side, will this be enough or to many?
Link to the available dzus fasteners; http://www.rallydesi...hp?cPath=74_703
Ive got a 2 piece frontend which i want to use but still be able to use the bonnet even if it is american style. Got some advise of JetBLICK and he advised towards using dzus fasteners as this would still keep the front end rigid (as possible) as obviously this is required. So i can use 2 on the front corners and my plan is to weld on corner plates between the scuttle and inner arch and dzus fasten them as it would hold it down, both the bonnet and front end. As you can probably guess im asking what size the front ones have to be and what size the back ones have to be (if there different).
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

most people weld a plate to the back of the a panel sticking out and have 2 dzus fastners attach to it, so 2 on each side of the car.

I bought mine.. standard size from mini speed.. as there are many different sizes you can get hold of depneding on the thickness of the metal.
I have a plate welded to the a panel for mine. Bonnet is used as normal, so is a 2 way flip.

Thanks Roo and basher, saved about £10 there then, every little helps
Anyone know the sizes required? Minispeed ones seem quite expensive in comparison, being over £3.

The sizes are usually the total thickness of the panels being joined. You can always add packing if they're too big - also a good idea if the outer panel is thinner than the recess in Dzus's outer.

Thanks Ethel
What packing can you use? I'll have a go at measuring the thickness tomorrow.
