pic of my custom inlet manifold being made : its bottom part 2 litre 8v manifold .
and throttle body is off a 2.5 v6 vauxhall

had to replace the starter motor , could not be arsed to strip it down .. so went and bought a new one , at least it should last a few years ... really cranks over now !!

been working on the dash wiring .. getting there slowly :

got my carputer wired up , :



wired up touch screen to dash , and installed XP , :



then installed the tuning software and check the connection from the PC to the megasquirt , all good ! :



got problems trying to get the touch screen drivers to work at the moment , so lots of keyboard needed

all needs to be mounted now and dash back in ...

not much done this weekend , got the touch screen drivers installed and that now works .. kids playing games on the PC all afternoon.

got the last two arches on, had trouble starting it ,.. had to take all plugs out and clean .. got a weak spark ... got it running but was missing ... not sure if its related to all the on/off ignition testing of dash board etc ... can you ruin plugs by over fueling ??

but got it out , and stuck passenger door on to see what it looked like , sorry for the poor pics , used other camera.

Coming on great! who ever said it sounded like a tractor, theyre wrong, even if it did in the slightest, doesnt that mean that a tractor is gunna own his motor anyway? sorry, just a little rant. Goodluck with the wiring and finishin touches!

new inlet manifold compared to std item



now i was not going to fit this ,as it caused a few other problems .. and i think thats why i have left my car for a bit .. but have decided to press on with the new manifold and just sort the problems it will cause ...



you can see the v6 throttle body :

had to make room for the bigger 3" silicon hose , and new throttle body position :



made up new joiner pipe to mate up with old system, will re-do again one day in bigger pipe work , but will do for now :



have also re-fitted air temp sensor, just need to fit TB gasket and it can all be bolted up tight...

then its a case seeing if the engine runs again

ps. fitted VXR injectors while i did this inlet manifold swap.

one of the down sides (or mistakes) to fitting my new manifold was that the brake and clutch master cylinders now haved to move inside. , old pedal box was removed and strip and is now sent to allspeed to hopfully get his first hydrolic clutch pedal box ( normally allspeed pedal boxes work with cable vauxhall clutches only)



i have also fitted throttle cable , allthough engine is still not running LOL, battery is on charge ready for some fault finding tonight i hope.

onto the bonnet , :





not very pretty , i dont do body work .. but this will only be used to make a mould so absmotorsport can then start selling 90mm front ends with a bonnet bolge ...

also i will be getting one made in carbon fibre
